CAMP SESSIONS 2017

Individual/Team Camp

Date: July 22 - 25, 2017

Camp Mission:

To provide a positive and supportive learning environment while allowing the campers to experience the latest technical and tactical aspects of the game. Our dedicated staff will provide instruction specific to the needs of the individual campers and/or team, and will challenge them to read and adjust to situations in a game-like environment.

INDIVIDUAL OR TEAM FOCUS

Our coaching staff and curriculum is designed to help each individual improve her skills, tactical awareness, and love of the game! This camp is ideal for players with at least one year of experience. Skill groups will be determined so players of all experience levels will be challenged!

GOALKEEPING

Goalkeepers will receive specialty technical and tactical instruction. Spaces for goalkeepers are limited for optimal numbers.

SPECIALTY ROLES

Coaches will provide opportunities for the development of specialty skills such as drag flicking, stick stopping, corner injection, strokes, and shoot-outs.

CHECK-IN/OUT

Check in on July 22nd is 12-2pm at Southgate Residence Hall on Duke’s East Campus (1400 W. Main St Durham). Check out on July 25th is 11am-12pm at Southgate Residence Hall.

LODGING

Campers will be housed in air conditioned Southgate Residence Hall (1400 W. Main St, Durham, NC 27705) on Duke’s East Campus. Rooms in these dorms are doubles and singles.

A $125 room key deposit will be collected at check-in and returned upon successful key return at check-out.

COMMUTERS

All commuters will be required to check in with their coaches at the start of each morning session and will be dismissed at the end of their evening game.

Commuters will receive lunch and dinner each day.

MEALS

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on campus.

The first meal will be dinner on the 1st day of camp and the final meal will be breakfast on the last day of camp.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

All campers will experience the strength and conditioning aspect of a Division I college program.

Campers will receive hands on instruction on the techniques and benefits of plyometrics, speed development, strength training and flexibility.

MEDICAL SUPERVISION

A certified athletic trainer will be on site at the field and in the dorms and will be available 24 hours a day.

TRAVEL

Campers who are driving will be emailed a campus map and direction to check-in.

Campers flying should arrive at Raleigh-Durham Airport by 1:00pm on July 22nd. Flights on July 25th should depart after 3:00pm.

*Transportation from and to the airport is the responsibility of each camper. Suggestions regarding transportation from and to Raleigh-Durham Airport will be emailed to campers.

REFUNDS

A $100.00 service charge will be kept for all refunds on/before June 30. There will be a 50% refund granted beginning July 1st.

Elite Camp

Our dedicated staff will provide instruction specific to the needs of each camper, and will challenge them to read and adjust to situations in a high paced, game-like environment.

WHAT DOES ELITE CAMP MEAN?

Student-athletes who show true passion for the game and want to challenge themselves with increased skill execution, tactical awareness, and game knowledge will love this camp! This camp is designed for the high performance hockey player with aspirations to play at the Division 1 level and beyond.
